Non-urgent advice: Notice
To ensure you are adequately immunised can you please book appointments at least 6 WEEKS in advance.
(If travel appointments are not booked sufficiently in advance we cannot guarantee that there will be enough time to complete a course of recommended immunisations.)
Travel consultations are not carried out by the GPs; please make your appointment with the practice nurse.
Please allow sufficient time when booking your appointment, we recommend that you attend at least six weeks prior to your date of departure in order to ensure that you are adequately immunised.
If not booked sufficiently in advance we cannot guarantee that there will be enough time for you to receive the recommended course of immunisations.
PLEASE REMEMBER: A LAST MINUTE DEAL DOES NOT MEAN A LAST MINUTE APPOINTMENT!
The following NHS travel vaccines are given in the practice:
- Diphtheria, Tetanus, & Polio
- Hepatitis A
- Typhoid
- Combined Hepatitis A /Typhoid
- Combined Hepatitis A/B
The following travel vaccines are NOT given in the practice,
If required, should be obtained from a private travel clinic:
- Hepatitis B
- Yellow Fever
- Rabies
- Japanese Encephalitis
- Tick-borne Encephalitis
- Cholera
- Meningitis ACWY
- Tuberculosis
Malarial Prophylaxis – Please be aware that (if required for your destination) these medications can only be issued on a private prescription.
